Site work for a transportation facility in Gary, Indiana. Completed plans call for site work for a one-story above grade transportation facility; and one-story above grade transportation facility.
Sealed bids are invited for the Passenger Boarding Bridges and Parking Lot Improvements project. Bids must be received at the designated location by the specified time and date, with late submissions being returned unopened. The project calls for the provision and installation of passenger boarding bridges and improvements to the parking lot at the Gary/Chicago International Airport. Bidders are required to submit a certified check or bank draft payable to the Gary/Chicago International Airport Authority, or a satisfactory bid bond executed by the Bidder and an approved surety company in an amount not less than five percent of the bid. Contractors awarded a contract must furnish acceptable surety bonds in the amount of 100% of the awarded contract price. Performance, material, and payment bonds shall remain in effect for twelve months. The project encourages participation by disadvantaged business enterprises and prohibits discrimination based on race, color, or national origin. Summary Project Description: Construction of two passenger boarding brideges, walkways, foundations, concrete ramp removal and replacement and utility infrastructure; parking lot modifications for the construction of a parking and revenue control system.
