Each bid shall be accompanied by a certified check of the bidder, payable to the Owner, or a Bid Bond in the amount of five (5%) percent of the bid. Withdrawal of Bid Due to Error: A Bidder may withdraw his Bid from consideration if the prices therein are substantially lower than the other Bids due solely to a clerical mistake, provided the Bid was submitted in good faith, and the mistake was not an error in judgment, and was actually due to an unintentional arithmetic error or an unintentional omission of a quantity of work, labor, or material made directly in the compilation of the Bid. Time of Completion: Substantial completion for kitchen plumbing/flooring on July 30, 2026 Substantial completion for school cooling on July 30, 2027 Substantial completion for kitchen hood on July 30, 2027 Substantial completion for school heating on October 01, 2027. Liquidated Damages: Bidder agrees to pay as Liquidated Damages the sum of one hundred and fifty dollars ($150) for each consecutive calendar day that the Project extends beyond the designated date for Substantial Completion. Once the addendum is issued the architect /engineer will answer questions that are clarifications to the construction documents. The Owner reserves the right to reject any and all bids, to waive any informalities in the bidding process and to make as a whole or any part of the work that is most advantageous to the School System.
