Site work and paving for a bridge / tunnel in Kingwood, New Jersey. Completed plans call for site work for a one-story above grade bridge / tunnel; and for paving for a bridge / tunnel.
The project consists of the Ridge Road Culvert Reconstruction, which includes approximately: removal of 41 LF of existing 24-inch culvert and one concrete headwall; 564 SY of HMA Milling 2"; 75 tons of Hot Mix Asphalt 9.5M64 Surface Course, 2" thick; 41 LF of 38"x60" ERCP Class V pipe; 31 CY concrete for two wingwalls; 2 Type Double E Inlets; 202 LF of 18" reinforced concrete pipe; 264 LF of 9"x14" Concrete Vertical Curb; 220 LF Beam Guide Rail; 1 Tangent Guide Rail Terminal; landscape restoration; and other related incidental work. The base contract includes all labor, materials and equipment to complete the work as indicated on the Drawings and described in the Specifications. All awarded work must be completed within 60 calendar days from Notice to Proceed, in compliance with approved NJDEP permits. Instructions to bidders include obtaining bid documents directly from Van Cleef Engineering Associates, submitting bids on official forms with bid security (10% of total bid, maximum $20,000), a Certificate of Surety, and compliance with federal and state laws including those related to civil rights, affirmative action, non-collusion, public works contractor registration, and prevailing wage. Bids must be hand delivered or sent by courier, sealed, and accompanied by required forms and statements regarding equipment control. The successful bidder must submit insurance and bonds as specified.
