Sealed bids will be received for the Mecklenburg County Pine Grove Facility Retaining Wall located at 3901 Pine Grove Circle, Charlotte, NC. The project involves demolition of a timber retaining wall and miscellaneous structures, excavation and construction of a cast-in-place concrete retaining wall, backfilling, and constructing a slab on grade. Contractors are required to comply with Occupational Safety and Health Standards and Safety and Health Regulations for Construction. The project has set Minority Business Enterprise (MBE) and Women Business Enterprise (WBE) goals of 8% each. All qualified bidders are welcome regardless of national, state, or local boundaries, race, color, religion, sex, national origin, age, or handicap. Contractors must comply with all applicable laws regulating General Contracting in North Carolina. Each bid equaling or exceeding $100,000 must be accompanied by a corporate bid bond or a bid deposit (certified or cashier's check) of at least 5% of the total bid amount.
