The project consists of the construction of the Pole Bridge Road Water System Improvements, including approximately 22,007 L.F. of 8-inch waterline, 1,316 L.F. of 6-inch waterline, 11,260 L.F. of 4-inch waterline, 4,079 L.F. of 2-inch waterline, 9,820 L.F. of ¾-inch waterline, 34 gate valves, 15 blow-off valves, 10 fire hydrants, 233 water meter assemblies and reconnections, and associated appurtenances. Bids will be received for a single prime Contract for each individual Contract. Bids shall be on a lump sum and unit price basis. The project is funded through USDA Rural Development. Bidders are instructed to refer to the Instructions to Bidders included in the Bidding Documents for requirements regarding bid submittal, qualifications, procedures, and contract award. Bidders must comply with the President's Executive Order #11246 prohibiting discrimination in employment regarding race, color, creed, sex, or national origin, and the Civil Rights Act of 1964. Bidders must certify that they do not or will not maintain or provide for their employees any facilities that are segregated on the basis of race, color, creed, or national origin. Section 746 of Title VII of the Consolidated Appropriations Act of 2017 and subsequent statutes mandating domestic preference applies an American Iron and Steel requirement to this project. All iron and steel products used in this project must be produced in the United States.
