The project involves improvements at the intersection of Commerce Drive and Meijer Driveway. The scope of work includes installing a center curb and a new signal at the intersection. All work is specified in the Construction Schedule and Specifications. Bidders must make proposals using the forms provided in the Contract Documents. Each bid must include a cashier's or certified check or an acceptable bidder's bond in an amount not less than five percent (5%) of the bid amount, payable to the City of Franklin, Indiana. The successful bidder will be required to furnish a Performance and Payment Bond on specified forms in the amount of one hundred percent (100%) of the contract. All required information must be supplied with the bid, including insurance certificates and financial statements, demonstrating the contractor's ability to meet the specified limits. Partial payment will be made monthly based on approved payment requests. The contractor and all subcontractors must comply with federal and state labor regulations, including Equal Employment Opportunity, Non-segregated Facilities, and Affirmative Action requirements. The City reserves the right to reject any or all proposals and to waive irregularities in bids. Bids may be held for up to sixty days for review and investigation of qualifications before awarding the contract.
