Site work and paving for a civil project in Fort Yukon, Alaska. Conceptual plans call for site work for a road / highway; for paving for a road / highway; bridge / tunnel; and water / sewer project.
Through the FY24 RAISE Grant, the Yukon Territory will rehabilitate sections of the Alaska Highway in the Yukon on compromised sections of he "Shakwak" segment, approximately between Destruction Bay and the US Canadian Border (milepost 1182 / 1902 km) - (milepost 1047/ 1685 km). The project will include aggregate production, resurfacing, sub-grade repair, culvert repair or replacement, and ditch work to return the road to design-speed operation. Work Type : Pavement Rehabilitation As of October 06, 2025, the project is in Conceptual status. Anticipated letting Year is 2026. AKDOT - Alaska Highway Yukon Territory Permafrost Repairs *Project information has been obtained through a public state transportation improvement plan (STIP). A STIP is a financial schedule for short- and long-range projects which is updated regularly. Information listed in the STIP often evolves based on funding availability.
