You are invited to bid on the construction of the Emergency Road Repair, Cocke County, Tennessee, Waterville Road, RGC #24247. These sealed bids will be received by the Cocke County Highway Department at 129 Highway 25E in Newport, Tennessee. Bids will be received until 10:00 AM, Wednesday, October 29th, at which time they will be publicly opened in the Cocke County Highway Superintendent's Office and read aloud and the Contract awarded as soon thereafter as practicable. Any bids received after 10:00 A.M. will be returned unopened. Please indicate on your quotation, "EMERGENCY ROAD REPAIR, COCKE COUNTY, TENNESSEE ON WATERVILLE ROAD." Plans, Specifications and Contract Documents must be obtained for bidding purposes at the office of Robert G. Campbell & Associates, 7523 Taggart Lane, Knoxville, Tennessee 37938 or by email upon a payment of a check or cash for the sum of $150.00. This payment will not be refunded. Bids may be mailed to Dwayne McCallister, Cocke County Highway Department, 129 Highway 25E, Newport, TN 37821. All Bidders must be licensed Contractors as required by the "CONTRACTOR'S LICENSING ACT OF 1976", and as passed by the 89th General Assembly of the State of Tennessee. The Bidder's name, license number, expiration date, and that part of the classification which applies to the Bidder must be placed on the sealed envelope containing the executed Proposal Form, otherwise, the Bid will not be considered. (Bidders on this project are required to be licensed for HRA-A,C,E. HC-H, HC-5, MU-C). Each Bid must be accompanied by a certified check or by a Bidder's Bond executed by the Bidder and a surety company licensed to do business in Tennessee in the sum of five percent (5%) of the amount of the bid. This is required as a guarantee that if the Bid is accepted within ninety (90) days of the bid date, the contract will be entered into within ten (10) consecutive days, and the performance of it will be properly secured. The successful Bidder will be required to execute an acceptable performance and payment bond in the amount equal to 100 percent of the Contract price. Cocke County reserves the right to waive any informalities in or to reject any or all bids.
