The Owner is inviting sealed Bid Proposals for Lake Sara - Beach Improvements, which consist of regrading the existing beach area and adjacent hillside to expand the beach to almost five times larger in area than the current condition. The project also includes localized drainage improvements, select demolition, and stockpiling of excess soils. Most demolition activities will be performed by the Owner. Bids must cover all labor, supervision, materials, supplies, transportation, tools/equipment, and services required for the work as described in the Contract Documents. Bidders must ensure compliance with nondiscrimination, Federal Section 3, and all other Federal, State, and Local requirements. Minority business utilization as subcontractors is encouraged. Successful bidders must observe Equal Employment Opportunity rules and comply with the Illinois Prevailing Wage Act and wage determinations. The Owner reserves the right to waive irregularities and accept or reject any or all bids in the Owner's interest. No bid may be withdrawn for 30 days after opening without Owner consent. Bids for all work will be received at specified addresses until the stated deadline and must follow the submission requirements described. Bid documents are available online only. All requests for clarifications must be addressed to the Engineer, and only written addenda will be issued as appropriate.
