A Bid Bond or Certiied Check made payable to the Owner in the amount of ive percent (5%) of the bid shall be submitted with each bid as guarantee that the bid will not be withdrawn within thirty (30) days after the date of opening of bids, and that the successful Bidder will enter into a Contract for the work awarded him. The successful Bidder will be required to furnish a satisfactory Performance Bond and a Labor and Material Payment Bond for the full amount of the bid accepted. Contractors and Subcontractors shall be required to comply with the Prevailing Wage Rates as determined by the Illinois Department of Labor. The right is reserved by the Owner to reject any or all bids or waive any informality in any bid and to accept any bid considered advantageous to the Owner. Work to Include: Remove existing 10,919 +/- square foot membrane roof and gravel surface built-up roof down to the existing lightweight concrete deck. Remove existing 420 +/- linear feet of existing metal parapet coping. Mechanically attach two layers of 2.6" polyisocyanurate insulation and tapered insulation to the metal decking through the lightweight deck. Adhere new 0.60 white EPDM membrane rooing. Provide alternate for 0.60 TPO membrane rooing. Install new pre-inished metal coping at parapet. Roof shall meet Ul Class A listing and 20 year warranty.
