The Contract Work can be summarized to include, but not be limited to, as follows 1. Refer to RFP Section 1 for a more detailed description of the Project. 2. Scope of Work and Services described in the RFP and this RFFP document. 3. The Work, as defined in the Contract (Agreement and General Conditions), includes all management and construction services to complete the Vancouver Public Works Operations Campus (Project), with modifications as made only by contract amendment. 4. The term "Owner", as defined in the Contract, is used throughout the Specifications as the entity through which all GC/CM actions are directed. The Owner will delegate further actions and responsibilities to its own staff and consultants as it determines appropriate. 5. The term "GC/CM", also known as the "Construction Manager", or the "Contractor", shall refer to the entity that enters into a Contract with the Owner for the management and construction of the Project. The GC/CM shall be responsible for ensuring all subcontractors, sub-tier contractors of any level, vendors, and any other companies or individuals for whom the GC/CM is responsible under the terms and conditions of the Contract, fully comply with all requirements of the terms and conditions of the Contract. The project is committed to providing opportunity for participation in contracting local, small, and diverse business entities. Project goals are based on firms certified with the Office of Minority and Women Business Enterprises (OMWBE) Participation may be either on a direct contract basis or as a sub-tier trade partner or supplier. Skanska USA Building, Inc. reserves the right to reject any or all bids and to waive any non-material informalities or irregularities in the bids received. A bidder may withdraw its proposal by submitting a written request before the bid opening time. Skanska will return the proposal unopened after contract award.
