For furnishing all materials and equipment together with all labor for the construction of the Veterans Park Inclusive Access Project (EPF Grant #236786) in the Town of Grand Island, New York. The project involves construction of an ADA compliant asphalt walking path, located at 1715 Bedell Rd., for access to all southern fields from multiple parking areas. Also included in this project is the construction of a comprehensive drainage plan for the southern half of the property (40 Acres) along with overhauling the surfaces of two (2) Baseball fields, fields 3 and 4, complete with field drainage, new surfaces, portable mounds, revamped batters/catchers' area and bases. All work, including the Ballfields Considered Playable, shall be completed on or before June 30, 2026. Each Proposal must be accompanied by cash, Certified Check payable to the Town of Grand Island, or Bid Bond having a surety thereon from a surety company acceptable to the Town Attorney, in an amount not less than five percent (5%) of the amount of the Base Bid, conditioned that if the Proposal is accepted, the Contractor will enter into a Contract for the same, for the faithful performance of the Contract. No Bidder may withdraw his Bid within forty-five days after the date set for the opening thereof, but may withdraw same at any time prior to the scheduled time for the opening of Bids. This project is funded in part by a grant from the NYS Office of Parks, Recreation & Historic Preservation through Title 9 of the Environmental Protection Act of 1993. Under Article 15A, Executive Law, the State of New York is committed to providing Minority and Women Owned Businesses (MWBE) equal opportunity to participate in government contracts.
