As of March 03, 2026, a general contractor (GC) has already been awarded, but the GC's info is yet to be known. The Bexar County Hospital District /dba/ The University Health, is soliciting sealed bids for The project includes a 10,445 square foot interior renovation on the second floor of the Rio and Horizon Towers at University Hospital, located at 4502 Medical Drive in San Antonio, Texas. The objective of this project is to relocate the surgical pathology, histology, and cytology labs currently located onthe third floor of Rio Tower. The project space currently serves as temporary office and storage space, neurodiagnostic center, radiology, and procedure area. The project will include a full demolition and rebuilding of the space. Life safety and fire protection systems will be impacted, as well as mechanical, electrical and plumbing systems.
