Site work, paving and renovation of a mixed-use development in Robbinsville, North Carolina. Completed plans call for the renovation of a stadium; for site work for a sidewalk / parking lot; and for paving for a sidewalk / parking lot.
**As of November 18, 2025, this project has not yet been awarded. A timeline for the award has not yet been established.** Big Oaks Stadium Seating Renovations Scope of Work: Partial disassembly, reconstruction, and extension of existing segmental gravity site retaining walls and associated sitework; construction of ADA compliant access pathways throughout skite linking stadium entries/exits to upper and lower concourses and site toilet facilities; construction of concrete support structure for installation of new home side aluminum grandstand seating, railings and associated sitework All work is in the Contract for General Construction. All proposals shall be lump sum per the bid form. Each proposal shall be accompanied by a cash deposit, a cashier's check or a certified check drawn on some bank or trust company insured by the Federal Deposit Insurance Corporation in an amount equal to not less than five percent (5%) of the proposal. Or in lieu thereof, a bidder may offer a bid bond of five percent (5%) of the maximum amount of the bid. Bid Bond to be executed by a surety company licensed under the laws of North Carolina to execute such bonds, and conditioned that the surety will, upon demand, forthwith make payment to the obliges upon said bond if the bidder fails to execute the contract in accordance with the hid hond. Said deposit shall be retained by the Owner as liquidated damages in event of failure of the successful bidder to execute the contract within ten (10) days after the award or to give satisfactory surety as required by law. A Performance Bond and a Payment Bond for one hundred percent (100%) of the contract price, with a Corporate Surety approved by the Owner, will be required for the faithful performance of the contract. Attomeys-in-fact who sign Bid Bonds or Payment Bond and Performance Bonds must file with each bond a certified and effective dated copy of their Power of Attorney. The Owner reserves the right to award additional prime contracts which may he performed concurrently with the seating renovation construction It is anticipated that the contractor be instructed to commence work in December 2025 and he completed, ready for Owner occupancy by August 15, 2026. The project shall be substantially completed as described in the General Conditions and ready for occupancy for its intended purpose within 257 consecutive calendar days. Payment will be made on the hasis of ninety-five (95%) of monthly estimates and final payment made upon completion and acceptance of work. BIDDER further agrees to pay as liquidated damages, the sum of $500.00 for each consecutive calendar day thereafter as provided in Article 15 of the General Conditions. No hid may be withdrawn after the scheduled closing time for the receipt of bids for a period of One Hundred Twenty (120) days without the consent of the Owner.
