Sealed or electronic bids will be received for the construction of 0.121 miles of bridge and approaches on County Road 185, known as Local System Bridge Program (LSBP) Project No. LSBP-41(37) in Lee County, Mississippi. The principal items of work include mobilization, clearing and grubbing, removal of bridge and pavement, various excavation and borrow operations, installation of geotextile fabric and crushed stone, structural concrete and arch pipe work, installation of right-of-way markers, maintenance of traffic, erosion control measures such as sodding, seeding, mulching, and installation of silt fences and wattles, as well as bridge construction including piling, preformed pile holes, concrete, prestressed concrete beams, reinforcement, railing, and riprap. The award will be made to the lowest qualified bidder on the basis of published quantities. All bidders must provide a certified check or bid bond for five percent (5%) of the total bid, made payable to Lee County and the State of Mississippi. The proposal must be submitted in full for both paper and electronic bid submission. Bids will only be accepted from those to whom plans and proposals have been issued by the LSBP Engineer and whose names are on the official list of Planholders. Any bid that is qualified in any manner will be considered irregular and will not be considered in making the award. The project will be constructed in accordance with the latest edition of the Mississippi Standard Specifications for State Aid Road and Bridge Construction.
