Site work for a playground / park / athletic field in Tupelo, Mississippi. Completed plans call for site work for a one-story above grade playground / park / athletic field.
The project is titled Ballard Park Lakeshore Improvements for the City of Tupelo Department of Parks and Recreation. Proposals are to be submitted in duplicate only using the blank proposal forms provided with the specifications and must be accompanied by proposal security in the form of a certified check or acceptable bid bond equal to at least five percent (5%) of the Base Bid. This security will be forfeited as liquidated damages by any bidder who fails to carry out the terms of the proposal, execute the contract, and post a performance bond as specified. The bid bond, if used, must be payable to the owner. All bids submitted over $50,000 by a prime or subcontractor for any erection, building, construction, repair, maintenance, or related work must comply with the Mississippi Contractors Act of 1985 by securing a Certificate of Responsibility from the State Board of Contractors. Each bid exceeding $5,000 must be accompanied by the bidders certified check or a bid bond, executed by the bidder as principal and a surety company approved by the owner, signed by an agent licensed in Mississippi, in the amount of five percent of the bid. All bid bonds must include the appropriate Power of Attorney designating the Mississippi Resident Agent. The owner reserves the right to reject any or all bids and to waive informalities. Bid documents must be ordered and purchased through the designated website and are non-refundable. Only full sets of documents will be issued to plan holders and a valid email is required for registration. Electronic bids may be submitted via the specified online platform.
