This RFPQ is open to all General Contractors who wish to be considered as a prequalified general contractor to undertake the construction of the proposed Community Housing Development. The following general contractors are already prequalified under Request for Prequalification No. RFPQ-1535-24 and are not required to submit a response to this supplemental RFPQ. 1. Canadian Turner Construction Company LTD. 2. Multiplex Construction Canada Limited 3. Aquicon Construction Co. Ltd. The Region is planning to design and construct a Community Housing Development containing up to 227 residential units on a Region owned property at 62 Bayview Parkway in the Town of Newmarket The Community Housing Development is proposed to contain a mix of affordable and market rental units, including a range of one- to four-bedroom units, suitable for families, seniors and those living alone. The development will also include surface and underground parking, indoor and outdoor amenity spaces for residents, and potentially broader outdoor community uses. The development is being designed to achieve Passive House and Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design (LEED) Gold certifications. The proposed Community Housing Development is a six (6) and nine (9)-storey building with approximately 227 units, and a variety of indoor and outdoor amenity and programming spaces. The total gross floor area of the building is approximately 18,524 m2 (199,391 ft2) at the time of this RFPQ release and is subject to change.
