Sealed proposals from General Contractors are requested for the construction of Cooler/Freezer Replacement at East Jackson Middle School (1800 Hoods Mill Road, Commerce, GA) and West Jackson Middle School (400 Gum Springs Church Rd, Jefferson, GA). Proposal forms and construction documents can be examined at Southern A & E’s office or through their online plan service. Proposals must include the completed Competitive Sealed Proposal Form, the signed Bid Form, Bid Bond, Contractor Affidavit and Agreement showing compliance with O.C.G.A. 13-10-91, and affidavits for O.C.G.A. 50-36-1 (SAVE program). A bid bond in the amount of five percent of the base bid is required with submission, and performance and payment bonds for one-hundred percent of the contract sum will be required prior to construction. All bonds must be from a surety licensed in Georgia and listed on the Federal Register.
