The City of Daytona Beach is seeking qualifications from professional construction managers or general contractors for a new fire station/administration building. The City reserves the right to reject any and all proposals, or any portion of any proposal, or to waive any informalities in the bidding process. Question and Request for Interpretation Submission Deadline:October 28, 2025, 5:00pm The City of Daytona Beach is hereby soliciting responses from qualified Consultants to provide the City of Daytona Beach with professional Construction Management/General Contracting firm for a new Fire Station/Fire Administration Building and related site improvements. The City of Daytona Beach is seeking the services of a professional Construction Management Contractor/General Contractor for a new Fire Station 8 Building and related site improvements. o The principal purpose of the new Fire Station 8 Building is to serve as a fully operational and efficient satellite for the Daytona Beach Fire Department, which currently operates one main fire station and six satellite fire stations strategically located throughout the City. o Estimated construction budget is $8 million to $10 million. o The Fire Station 8 Building project shall include the following features: o A 10,000 +/- square foot, single-story Fire Station building with three-lane apparatus bay, chief office, station office, nine individual dorm rooms, day/dining room, commercial style kitchen with commercial natural gas appliances, secure lobby, six full-restrooms, lockers, storage, utility room, communication room, workout room, parking, emergency generator, gear storage/ extractor, decontamination room, site utilities, and separate three bay garage/storage building. o The new Fire Station 8 Building is proposed to be constructed on approximately 3.41+/- acres of undeveloped land (approx. 1.6+/- acres of upland) located at 1380 N. Clyde Morris Blvd Daytona Beach, FL 32117. Parcel is located on the northwest corner of Cornerstone Blvd and N. Clyde Morris Blvd. o The City has completed a preliminary programming concept and general conceptual site plan. o The conceptual site plan is intended for demonstration purposes and it is intended the selected design firm will present alternative concepts for consideration. o The Fire Station 8 Building structure and components shall be a hardened to meet required wind resistance and strive to meet the fire station standards of the National Fire Protection Administration. The facility is intended to operate on a continuous 24-hour basis. o The building will be designed and constructed in the spirit of current energy efficient and environmental design best practices when/where financially practical. o Professional Architectural Engineering Services will be provided under separate contract with the City. It is intended that the Construction Manager/General Contractor (CM/GC) firm will work directly with the Architectural/Engineering Service firm beginning in the early design phase through project completion. o Construction duration is estimated at approximately 10 months.
