Remodeling of a municipal facility in Daytona Beach, Florida. Completed plans call for the remodel of a 110-square-foot, one-story above grade, two-room municipal facility.

The project is an animal control buildout of an existing area measuring approximately 110 square feet, which will include two fully enclosed kennels at the Daytona Beach Shores Public Safety Complex. Proposals must be submitted through the DemandStar online system as specified. The City reserves the right to reject any or all submittals or to waive non-substantial irregularities as it sees fit. Bidders who have been placed on the convicted vendor list following a conviction for a public entity crime pursuant to Florida Statutes 287.133(2)(a) are prohibited from submitting a bid, being awarded a contract, or performing work as a contractor, supplier, subcontractor, or consultant for a public entity over a specified threshold for 36 months from the date of placement on the list. 1. Build out area kennel area to the following specifications: a. Cut and remove slab on grade to install 4" floor drain tied into existing 4" sanitary approximately 6' away. Add 3/4 water line and hose bib tied in thru wall from adjoining room. b. Install masonry wall 7' high x 6' long between kennels. Drill and epoxy #5 rebar into existing floor and pour three filled cells and top bond beam with concrete. c. Add 8" x 8"x10' reinforced poured concrete curb at kennel entrance. d. Add 3" tall half round sleeves thruough block separation wall three places. e. Pre-slope floor direct water to new floor drain. 2. Build out two fully enclosed kennels using chain link fencing with secured access gates along the west wall as follows: a. Fabricate and install 6'x10' welded chain link fence panel roof over kennels with continuous perimeter pipe all sides with center support bolted to concrete walls three sides. b. Fabricate and install 7'x10' welded fence panel with continuous perimeter pipe all sides with 2- 3' x 7' gates with lockable latches bolted to concrete walls and concrete curb if needed. c. All openings and gaps should be smaller than the chain link opening. d. All pipe welds, fence edges, or wire ties should be free of sharp edges or burs that may harm animals. e. All fencing panels should be field measured before fabrication. 3. Epoxy coat with warranty all 6'x10' floor and walls 7' high. 4. Paint entire kennel area. 5. Work hours is restricted to 7:00am-3:30pm Monday thru Friday. 6. The contractor's work shall include all labor, materials, equipment, tools, transportation services, clean up and incidentals necessary to complete all work required per the specifications.
