Renovation of a mixed-use development in Fort Wayne, Indiana. Working plans call for the renovation of a medical facility.
The project involves upgrading the electrical service at the U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs NIHCS Ft. Wayne Campus, where the current electrical system has reached capacity and cannot support future facility needs. The scope includes removing existing electrical equipment and generators from Building 16, followed by its demolition. The basement of Building 1 will be expanded by 6,600 square feet to accommodate new infrastructure, including primary switchgear and three new 600kW standby generators. The upgrade also includes installation of associated automatic transfer switches (ATSs) and three new unit substations. Technical data for bidders will be provided with the anticipated solicitation, expected to be issued on or about October 22, 2025. One or more items in this acquisition are subject to the World Trade Organization Government Procurement Agreement and Free Trade Agreements.
