The City of Big Rapids will accept sealed bids for WWTP Door Replacement. All bids shall be clearly marked "BID FOR WWTP Door Replacement." Specifications may be obtained at the Public Works Office at Big Rapids City Hall or online. The City reserves the right to accept or reject any or all bids, waive informalities, and award the bid in any manner deemed in the best interest of the City. All questions regarding the bid must be submitted in writing at least 48 hours prior to the bid opening. The award will be made only to a responsive and responsible firm whose bid conforms to all material terms and conditions. All bid prices must remain valid for 60 days past the submission deadline. The Big Rapids Wastewater Treatment Plant has identified several exterior doors that need to be replaced to prevent unauthorized access. The existing 8 exterior doors are aging and not closing correctly. The City is seeking contractors to furnish and install new exterior doors and frames that will close correctly and lock to secure the buildings. Install new exterior doors and transom. 3. Insall new matching key lock sets on all exterior doors that match current at plant and one lift station 4. Install new door handles and push bars on new exterior doors that match current door handles 5. Install door sweeps and closers.
