This solicitation aims to engage qualified contractor(s) to deliver a comprehensive range of services, including HVAC repair, maintenance, and installation, electrification, and weatherization measures. SMUD seeks to support eligible residential customers in managing their electric bills through enhanced equipment efficiency, electrification and strategic energy-saving installations. The contracts resulting from this solicitation will ensure effective service delivery from January 1, 2026, through December 31, 2028, and will involve issuing individual Purchase Orders to contractor(s), with a combined budget constraint of up to $40,000,000. SMUD intends to foster collaboration with contractors who can achieve these objectives while maintaining high levels of customer satisfaction and operational efficiency. The Contractor shall furnish all supervision, labor, materials, equipment, and incidentals necessary to accomplish the work in accordance with the Contract. The work generally consists of two categories, Home Weatherization and Home HVAC & Electrification. 1. Home Weatherization (Bid Schedule A). This work generally consists of attic insulation additions and installations as well as other associated weatherization measures 2. Home HVAC & Electrification (Bid Schedule B). This work generally consist of replacement, repair, service, and fuel switching (gas to electric) for heating and air conditioning equipment and appliances, including but not limited to water heaters, thermostats, main electrical panels, SMART panels, and the installation of electric vehicle (EV) charging equipment.
