Renovation of a fire / police facility in Salt Lake City, Utah. Completed plans call for the renovation of a one-story above grade fire / police facility.

The objective is to perform structural and surface repairs on two fire training oversea shipping containers at the Unified Fire Authority Training Center. The work includes removal of damaged flooring components and installation of new steel flooring supported by structural tubing to ensure a safe and even surface. The scope of work includes: 1. Removal of damaged materials: - Remove heat-warped steel floor plates. - Remove any wood, whether good, burnt, or damaged, from beneath the floor plates on both containers. 2. Structural modifications: - Weld spacer tubing along the frame rails of each container to ensure even floor support. Tubing specifications are 1/8" x 3/4" square tubing. 3. Floor plate installation: - Install new 3/16" steel plate flooring on each container. Each container will need ten (10) 4' x 8' x 3/16" steel plates, cut and welded as needed. 4. Repair any connections to walls or columns as needed for both containers. Proposals submitted for evaluation must include, at a minimum, the above requirements and a complete description of all fees to be billed. Fees not listed on the response will not be allowed. All work as defined must be completed without the need for additional requests for proposals or bids. All proposals must include a signed Proposal Response Cover Sheet and provide all required information as outlined. Proposals should be typewritten or printed in ink, corrections must be initialed, and late or modified proposals will not be accepted. UFA reserves the right to reject any proposal and to waive minor irregularities. Discussions or site inspections may be conducted with offerors, but proposals may be accepted without them. All proposal development costs are the offeror's responsibility, and submission constitutes agreement that the proposal may be accepted at any time within ninety days from the submission deadline. Exceptions to terms or conditions must be provided in a separate document marked "Exceptions." UFA will be the sole determiner of the acceptability of exceptions. Proposals not following instructions may be rejected for non-responsiveness. UFA may accept all or part of any offer and may make multiple awards. All responses become property of UFA and may be subject to public disclosure, unless a proper claim of confidentiality is made.
