Install 5,350 ft of 8" & 6" ductile iron water main and appurtenances along several roads in the area formerly known as Madison City (also known as West Middletown), including 4 connections to existing mains, 56 service replacements, and 4 trenchless road crossings in Madison Township, Butler County, Ohio. All bids must remain open and be irrevocable until December, 2025. Each bidder is required to furnish with its proposal a bid guaranty in accordance with Section 153.54 of the Ohio Revised Code, in the form of either a 100% bond, or a cashier's check or irrevocable letter of credit, made payable to the District in an amount equal to 10% of the bid amount. All corporate sureties shall be licensed in the State of Ohio to provide said surety. Each proposal must contain the full name of the party or parties submitting the proposal and all persons interested therein. All contractors and subcontractors involved with the project will, to the extent practicable, use Ohio products, materials, services, and labor in the implementation of the project. No contract will be awarded if the lowest and best base bid is in excess of 20% above the Engineer's pre-bid estimate of cost of $1,272,600. This is an Ohio prevailing wage project. As of the date of preparation of the Contract Documents, the estimated construction cost is $2,230,000.
