Demolition, site work, renovation and addition to a library in Ontario, New York. Completed plans call for the renovation of a library; for the addition of a library; for the demolition of a library; and for site work for a library.

The Ontario Public Library will receive sealed Proposals for the new Library Renovation and Addition. Ontario Public Library 1850 Ridge Road Ontario, NY 14519 Bid will be received on a Lump Sum basis for the following contracts: Contract No. 1 General Trades Work (GC): General Construction PROJECT DESCRIPTION Renovation of the existing library space +/- 4,653 including new floor finishes, painting existing walls, new lighting and modifications to the existing HVAC system. Proving a new circulation desk and mentor room. Bid Mailing: Bids can be mailed to: Ontario Public Library 1850 Ridge Road Ontario, NY 14519 Contact Rotolite Elliott in advance for pick-up, or to provide shipping account information for expedited delivery. Bidders wishing sets of Plans and Specifications to be mailed to them shall include, in addition to the document deposit, a non-refundable check in the amount of Thirty-Five Dollars ($35.00) per set for handling and postage, sent and made payable to Ontario Public library. A Bidder, making the deposit required for the Bidding Documents, submitting a Proposal accompanied by a certified check or other security in accordance with the requirements contained in the plans and specifications and public advertisement for bids and if the copy of the plans and specifications used by such Bidder, other than the successful Bidder is returned in good condition within thirty (30) days to Rotolite Elliott (address above) award of the contract covered by such plans and specifications, or rejection of the Bid, the full amount of such deposit for one copy of the plans and specifications shall be returned to such Bidder, including the successful Bidder. Partial reimbursement, in an amount equal to the full amount of such deposit for one set of plans and specifications per unsuccessful bidder or non- bidder less the actual cost of reproduction of the plans and specifications, shall be made for the return of all other copies of the plans and specifications in good condition within thirty (30) days following. Bid Security in the amount of (5%) of the bid must accompany the bid in accordance with the Instruction to Bidding PREVAILING WAGE RATES Bidders will be responsible for paying prevailing wages throughout the course of this project. MISC. BIDDING REQUIREMENTS 1. The Library Board Members or the Architect/Engineer will not be responsible, in any manner, for verbal answers to any inquiries regarding the Specifications, the Notice to Bidders or any other matter connected with the awarding of the contract for said library. 3. Each Bidder must comply with the laws of the State of New York, insofar, as they apply to the library construction. All bids shall be less State, Federal, or local taxes that are not applicable to municipal purchases. No bidder may withdraw his bid within (45 days) forty-five days after the date set for the opening thereof. 4. A Certificate of Authority to do business in the State of New York, under Section 1301 of the Business Corporations Law of the State of New York shall be submitted by any out-of-state corporations or companies with their bids. 5. The bidder or its principals shall have a minimum of five (5) years experience in similar work and shall provide to the Owner a list of three (3) contracts of similar size, scope, and complexity to this Project completed or substantially completed within the last ten (10) years. 6. Experience will be viewed from both the perspective of completed projects of comparable size, scope and complexity, as well as the experience and qualifications of the bidder's personnel. The determination of relevant project experience in terms of size, scope and complexity will be at the sole and exclusive discretion of the Owner. 7. In the event the bidder fails to establish to the satisfaction of the Owner, as set forth in (5) thru (6) above, that the bidder is both responsible and meets the qualification requirements of the solicitation, the Owner reserves the right, in its sole discretion, to reject any bid. The Owner further reserves the right to reject any and all bids, by Order of the Board Trustees of the Ontario Public Library.
