Sealed proposals are requested for the construction of a wastewater lift station and associated appurtenances as part of the Wastewater Collection System Improvements (Lift Station Replacement at the corner of Sully St and Martindale St, TxCDBG Project No. CDV23-0235) in Clarendon, Texas. Each bid must be accompanied by a cashier's check, certified check, or acceptable bidder's bond payable to the City of Clarendon in an amount not less than five percent of the bid, serving as a guarantee of contract execution and bond provision if awarded. Bidders must pay not less than the prevailing federal wage rate and ensure nondiscrimination based on race, color, religion, sex, age, or national origin. Compliance with Build America, Buy America is required. Bidders are required to inspect the site and inform themselves of local conditions. Contractors or subcontractors who are debarred, suspended, or ineligible for federal programs may not participate. The Owner reserves the right to reject any or all bids, adopt advantageous interpretations in case of ambiguity, and no bid may be withdrawn for 30 days from the opening date. QA date - 10-24-2025 All questions about the meaning or intent of the Contract Documents shall be submitted to the Engineer in writing. Replies will be issued by Addenda mailed or delivered to all parties recorded by Engineer as having received the bidding documents. Bidders should contact the Engineer not less than two days before the bid opening to insure that they have all addenda that may affect bidding. Questions received less than two days prior to the date for opening of Bids may not be answered.
