Site work for a water / sewer project in Bayside, Texas. Completed plans call for site work for a one-story above grade water / sewer project.
Bids are invited for several items and quantities of work including generator installations at lift stations, fence relocation and/or replacement, and lift station improvements. Bidders must submit a bid bond in the amount of 5 percent of the bid issued by an acceptable surety for contracts exceeding $100,000, or may submit a certified check, bank draft payable to the Town of Bayside, or negotiable U.S. Government Bonds at par value in lieu of the bid bond. Not less than the federally determined prevailing (Davis-Bacon and Related Acts) wage rate as issued by the Texas Department of Agriculture Office of Rural Affairs and contained in the contract documents must be paid. The successful bidder must ensure nondiscrimination in employment on the basis of race, color, religion, sex, sexual identity, gender identity, or national origin. All contractors and subcontractors must not be suspended or debarred prior to any contract award. Minority Business Enterprises, Small Business Enterprises, Women Business Enterprises, Veteran-Owned Businesses, and Section 3 Businesses are encouraged to submit bids. All iron, steel, manufactured products, and construction materials used in the project must be produced in the United States per the Build America, Buy America Act requirements. The right is reserved to reject any or all bids or to waive informalities. Bids may be held for up to 90 days for review and investigation of bidder qualifications prior to contract award.
