Scope Items or services: Recondition one 3,500 HP electric motor (P-202) used on industrial size water pumps. Work includes furnishing labor, equipment, and materials to remove, transport motor to and from contractor's facility, recondition test per CWA specifications, and re-install at CWA's Lynchburg Pump Station, 908 Independence Parkway-N, Baytown, TX 77520. Project Location: Coastal Water Authority's Lynchburg Pump Station, 908 Independence Parkway North, Baytown, Texas 77520. Bids must be submitted on the Official Bid Form provided in the Bid Documents. Bids must be clearly marked on exterior of bid envelope as: "SEALED BID, MOTOR REPAIR P-202". The Contractor shall complete the Work not later than sixty (60) calendar days Provide materials, labor, equipment, scaffold, disconnecting of coupling, alignment check, and supervision to Repair /Recondition 3,500 horsepower Motor (Motor P-202) complete and in place per Section 16200 (Technical Specifications). Provide two (2) new Bearings manufactured by SKF, FAG, or Torrington bearings per paragraph 7.3 of Section 16200 (Technical Specifications): Upper bearing: Lower bearing: Provide nine (9) new Space Heaters per paragraph 7.4 of Section 16200 (Technical Specifications). 120V/500W: 240V/500W: 240V/250W: Provide six (6) new diodes specified in paragraph 7.5 of Section 16200 (Technical Specifications). Provide and install one (1) new vibration switch, two (2) new 100-ohm platinum RTDs for motor bearings, one (1) new RTD for ambient air temperature detection, and one (1) new surge arrestor (snubber) per paragraph 7.6 of Section 16200 (Technical Specifications). Test, Strip and rewind the rotor coils per paragraph 7.7 of the 16200 (Technical Specifications). Test, Strip, Rewind, re-lead, and VPI treat the motor P202 stator coils, as per paragraph 7.8 of the 16200 (Technical Specifications). Provide six (6) new proximity switches and machining (true-up) one (1) proximity sensor target per paragraph 7.9 of Section 16200. Additional work cash allowance per 11.0 of Section 16200 of the Bid Document. (Requires owner's approval to use.) BID ITEM - 1: This is a lump sum price to provide all labor, cranes, tools, supplies, equipment, materials, transportation, supervision, and permits to remove, transport, disassemble, test, repair/recondition, assemble, paint, return transport, and re-install Motor P-202 complete field test, commissioning and operational per the contract documents (including these technical specifications). The contractor must perform a motor stator and exciter stator insulation test before loading the motor onto the truck and after installation. BID ITEM - 2: This is a unit price to provide and install two (2) bearings specified in paragraph 7.3 of Technical Specifications. BID ITEM--3: This is the unit price for providing and installing nine (9) heaters specified in paragraph 7.4 of the Technical Specifications. BID ITEM - 4: This is the unit price for furnishing six (6) diodes and replacing all associated components specified in paragraph 7.5 of the Technical Specifications. BID ITEM -5: Provide and install one (1) new vibration switch, two (2) new 100-ohm platinum RTDs for motor bearings, one (1) new RTD for ambient air temperature detection, and one (1) new surge arrestor (snubber) per paragraph 7.6 of the Technical Specifications.
