Facilities Management is accepting bids for the following project: The contractor shall provide all materials, labor, tools, and all incidentals required and/or implied for the complete and satisfactory replacement of the emergency generator and automatic transfer switch at Athens-Clarke County Government Fire Station #9, 1650 Danielsville Road, Athens, GA. SCHEDULING: This job is based on an 8-hour day, 40-hour week. Coordination must be included to disconnect the utility power and remove the existing ATS. Work Schedule: Except for emergencies or other special situations, contractor shall normally be expected to conform to Athens-Clarke County Government's work schedule, which at present is Monday - Friday, 8:00 a.m. - 5:00 p.m. If overtime labor is required, the additional labor MAY be billed in addition to the contract price. HOWEVER, OVERTIME LABOR MUST BE PRE-APPROVED BY ACCGov FACILITIES MANAGEMENT IN ADVANCE . Storage Facilities: Contractor shall maintain storage for all materials, parts, and tools to repair and service the equipment. These materials shall be located in contractor's vehicle, place of business, or in specially constructed containers at the job site. These containers shall be clearly marked showing the contents and situated in a location designated by Athens-Clarke County Government. If these containers are locked, a key shall be provided to Athens-Clarke County Government. Inspections: Athens-Clarke County Government reserves the right to conduct any test or inspection it may deem advisable to assure supplies and services conform to the specifications. PLEASE NOTE: Any time excavation occurs in an area with unknowns such as rock, sewer lines, electrical services, process pipes, etc., these obstacles are not included in the scope of the original contract. If additional labor and materials are required to accommodate these obstacles, they may be billed as an agreed-upon extra, in addition to the contract price, at the request of ACCGov Facilities Management. CONTRACTOR REQUIREMENTS: Contractor must have three (3) verifiable commercial references pertaining to generator replacement or installation. 100KW - 400KW If contractor has performed this type of work for ACCGov in the past, please list each location and generator size. Contractor must have enough employees so that this job is completed within 7 days, dependent upon the weather. Contractor must have 10+ year of commercial electrical experience. Contractor must be able to test and service the installed generator. Contractor must have Unrestricted Electrical License and submit a copy with the bid. Contractor must be within 100 miles. Contractor must be able to be on-site within 4 hours for warranty work. Contractor must maintain adequate levels of repair parts inventory.
