Reference Number 0000400873 The scope of work includes replacement of an existing boardwalk that crosses the Furnace Brook Stream. Failure to submit in this manner may cause the bid to be rejected. The successful bidder, no matter the amount of its bid, will be required to furnish a Performance and Payment Bond with its signed contract. the County of Westchester, it is the goal of the County to use its best efforts to encourage, promote, and increase the participation of business enterprises owned and controlled by persons of color or women - Minority Business Enterprise (MBE) and Women Business Enterprise (WBE). The County of Westchester reserves the right to waive any informalities in the bids, or to reject any or all bids. No bidder may withdraw its bid within forty-five (45) days after the date of the bid opening. All required licenses should be submitted with the Bid. (Bid range $ 1,600.000.00 to $ 1,700,000.00). *The value for this project is based on a financial range. The value is listed as the highest possible cost from the range provided by a stakeholder or official project document. Work under this Contract includes all necessary labor, materials and equipment required to: The scope of work includes replacement of an existing boardwalk that crosses the Furnace Brook Stream. Specifically, the work includes new abutments, footings, decking and railing. It is not intended that this description of work mention each particular item required, but that it give information concerning the general scope and areas of work for the convenience of the bidders. Under Item 202.1901WE Small Structures Removals, the contractor shall undertake removals of small structures including all objectionable materials and obstructions whose removal is not included under any other contract items within the contract area. Examples ofsmall structures for this project are BASKETBALL POST that are to be removed. These items shall be disposed of as described below. Under Item 202.1902WE Large Structures Removals, the contractor shall undertake removals of large structures including all objectionable materials and obstructions whose removal is not included under any other contract items within the contract area. Examples oflarge structures for this project are the existing BOARDWALK which is to be removed and not reset. The structure can be temporarily stabilized at the contractor's discretion to be utilized as a temporary platform to install the new boardwalk and abutments. Posts can remain in the earth if not in the way ofthe new boardwalk. These items shall be disposed of as described below. Trees to be removed are paid for under their respective items.
