The Village reserves the right to waive any informalities, reject any Bid that does not comply with the biding specifications or where the bidder is found to not be responsible. The Village is not obligated to accept any Bid and may reject all Bids if it is in the best interests of the Village. Description of Work The description below is intended to give a brief overview of the work to be performed. The actual schedule will be agreed upon prior to the start of construction. This contract is intended as labor and material. The Village of Croton-on-Hudson will assist in discarding the material removed from the existing infield area. The contractor will be expected to use their own tools, material, labor, and any specialty equipment needed to complete project. Work to be performed: Remove all existing grass/sod found along both baselines. Material should be removed up to the existing dugouts. Remove all existing grass/sod within the existing infield area. Remove an eight-foot (8) strip of the existing grass/sod along the back arc of the infield. All renovation areas must be graded for final work. Supply and install topsoil layer (4-inches thick) Supply, and grade new clay for the infield (4-inch minimum). Care should be taken for proper surface drainage. Supply and install new sod for areas that were removed. Supply and install new bases, pitching rubber, and Homeplate. All equipment and material to be installed to the proper measurements required to all applicable sports rules. Perform a final cleanup and turn-over to the Village. The Villag of Croton-on-Hudson will assist the contractor with disposing of the material removed during this project.
