The purpose of this solicitation is to establish a one-time contract with a design-build firm to provide all labor, administration, design, equipment, materials, permitting, and construction of a playground and associated facilities. The intent is for the playground to serve as both a visual feature and an inviting children's play area. Features shall promote areas for multiple children playing together while also providing spaces suitable for a range of ages and abilities. The playground shall include poured-in-place safety surfacing, designated age-appropriate play zones for both younger and older children, and shade structures to enhance comfort and usability throughout the year. Respondents shall submit pricing, accompanied by a conceptual design which includes playground equipment listing and specifications, layout with dimensions, and surfacing details. The cost for civil site design, permitting, and construction for the related site improvements shall also be included in this Contract. The design-build firm shall be responsible for final grading within the limits of the playground and related improvements construction. Respondents may submit more than one conceptual plan with their proposal. Qualified and experienced Design-Builders are sought to provide turnkey design, engineering, permitting, and construction for improvements at three identified parks: Jamestown Park (101 West Murphy Street), Lake Play Park (1 South Allapaha Ave.), and Wilson Park (5 State St.), all in Davenport, FL. Proposers must submit one original bid form, three complete copies, and one digital version on a USB drive or similar device. All proposals should be clearly marked for the project and submitted to the City Clerk's office by the given deadline. Sealed proposals will be publicly opened and read; late proposals will not be accepted. Proposers are responsible for their own expenses prior to award.
