Renovation of a municipal facility in Binghamton, New York. Completed plans call for the renovation of a municipal facility.
To be considered for this project, all quotes must be submitted on the Official Bid From provided and include a materials and labor cost break down. Reminders: This is a Public Works Project and Prevailing Wages MUST be paid. Vendors/sub-contractors must be registered with NYS Dept of Labor to submit a quote. A copy of the certificate is to be sent to us with your quote. Any questions or request for clarification regarding the information provided may be directed to brm.bids@opwdd.ny.gov. DESCRIPTION: Broome DDSOO is seeking a contractor to create ADA Compliant toilet room in a large existing bathroom in the #4 building on the Broome DDSOO campus. Winning bidder shall provide all necessary aspects of the remodeling of these bathrooms. All work shall be done according to the below scope of work and attached Stamped Construction Drawings. SCOPE OF WORK: 1. Provide all necessary work to create ADA compliant bathrooms in room 4C19 in building #4 on the Broome DDSOO Main Campus. Even though the attached drawings show other rooms, we are only looking at 4C19 in this Scope. 2. Contractor shall ensure that the bathroom has a minimum of two commodes. One of the commodes shall be ADA complaint. Designer shall ensure that all other fixtures are ADA complaint as well as being complaint with all relevant building codes. 3. Contractor will remove all wall tile and replace with the tile(s) listed below, or equal. Alternate tile will need to be pre-approved by OPWDD. 4. Wall Tile Shall be: STAINMASTER Bella Bianco, Picasso Grey 12-in x 24-in Matte Porcelain Marble look large format Floor and Wall Tile or approved alternate. 5. Floor Tile Shall Be: Affinity Tile Metro 2" Hex Glossy Light Grey 11-in x 13-in Glossy Porcelain Hexagon Mosaic Floor and Wall Tile or approved alternate. 6. Vanity shall be; Design House #597450 73" Cultured Marble Double Vanity Top, Solid White. 7. Toilet Flush valves shall be: Sloan 1.6 GPF 111XL Regal 1.6 Flush Valve. 8. Lav Faucet shall be: Single hole, Chrome, Solar Powered, Touchless WaterSense lowarc, Chrome faucet. 9. Under Sink ADA Compliant Safety Covers are required. 10. Contractor must include the following Holders & Dispensers in the specifications: Grainger P#506K76 Toilet Paper Dispenser, NYSID P#F6659-0000-000 Hand Soap Dispenser, Bobrick P# B-43644 Recessed Waste Receptacle, Bobrick Part No. 43644- 134 liner mates, Grainger P#40AY40 Sanitouch Roll Paper Towel Dispenser. 11. Contractor shall ensure that the bathroom is adequately lighted per code and all electrical work necessary to enable proper lighting that is shown on the drawings. 12. Contractor shall be responsible for all plumbing and ventilation work necessary on the drawings. Including relocation of existing floor drain(s) into the center (+/-) of each space. To keep it out of the way of any new partitions as required. 13. Sub-floor sewer & drain piping shall be properly plumbed and kept free of construction debris at all times. 14. Contractor shall work with OPWDD staff to ensure that all selected floor, wall, and ceiling finishes are professional and economical. 15. The Contractor is responsible to remove all construction debris from the premises and be properly disposed of. 16. Care will be taken to not cause damage to the existing floor coverings while bringing in materials, personnel, and equipment. 17. Quote shall include a start date, in days, post issuance of a PO. 18. Demolition and Rough plumbing shall be done after 4:30pm to avoid major disturbances of staff on the floor below. 19. Contractor shall warrantee work for a period of one year from date of payment for job. Warrantee shall be for parts and labor. 20. Work shall conform to all applicable codes, be done according to manufacturer's instructions, and follow industry best practices. This is an RFQ (request for quotes). This is not an IFB (bid). The Broome DDSO intends to award the contract to the most responsible and responsive vendor that provides the lowest cost and meets the requirements detailed in the scope of work. Broome DDSO reserves the right to reject all quotes. In deciding whether to submit a quote, please be aware the awarded vendor must adhere to the time frames outlined in the scope of work. The awarded vendor will also be required to submit certificates of Liability Insurance and Worker's Compensation Insurance as well as completed Lobbying Law Forms, and signed Appendix A. Please be prepared to submit these in a timely fashion. The Broome DDSO will make no concessions to the vendor for any alleged misunderstanding or deception because of quantity, quality, character, or other condition. The Broome DDSO's interpretation of specifications shall be final and binding. In the event of a tie, contract will be awarded to the Contractor whose bid was received earliest.
