2A17 Bathroom Renovation OPWDD's Broome DDSO is requesting quotes (per the attached scope of work) pursuant to its discretionary purchasing authority. Any questions or request for clarification regarding the information provided may be directed to brm.bids@opwdd.ny.gov. Reminders: This is a Public Works Project and Prevailing Wages MUST be paid. Vendors/sub-contractors must be registered with NYS Dept of Labor to submit a quote. A copy of the certificate is to be sent to us with your quote. Contract Term: 60 days of Award This is an RFQ (request for quotes). This is not an IFB (bid). The Broome DDSO intends to award the contract to the most responsible and responsive vendor that provides the lowest cost and meets the requirements detailed in the scope of work. Broome DDSO reserves the right to reject all quotes. In deciding whether to submit a quote, please be aware the awarded vendor must adhere to the time frames outlined in the scope of work. The awarded vendor will also be required to submit certificates of Liability Insurance and Worker's Compensation Insurance as well as completed Lobbying Law Forms, and signed Appendix A. Please be prepared to submit these in a timely fashion. The Broome DDSO will make no concessions to the vendor for any alleged misunderstanding or deception because of quantity, quality, character, or other condition. The Broome DDSO's interpretation of specifications shall be final and binding. In the event of a tie, contract will be awarded to the Contractor whose bid was received earliest. The vendor shall provide all labor and materials necessary to complete the work in a professional manner according to this scope of work and architectural drawings if supplied. Upon completion of 2A17 Renovation, before removal of equipment and scaffolding, contractor is to schedule a quality control and quality assurance inspection with the Maintenance Supervisor. 1. Provide all necessary work to create ADA compliant bathrooms in room 2A17 in building #2A on the Broome DDSOO Main Campus. Per Attached Stamped Drawings with the changes listed below. 2. This Project will only include Room 2A17, even though room 2A16 is included on the prints. 3. Contractor will remove all wall tile and replace with the tile(s) listed below, or equal. Alternate tile will need to be pre-approved by OPWDD. 4. Contractor must include the following Holders & Dispensers in the specifications: Grainger P#506K76 Toilet Paper Dispenser, NYSID P#F6659-0000-000 Hand Soap Dispenser, Bobrick P# B-43644 Recessed Waste Receptacle, Bobrick Part No. 43644- 134 liner mates, Grainger P#40AY40 Sanitouch Roll Paper Towel Dispenser. 5. Contractor shall ensure that each bathroom is adequately lighted per code and all electrical work necessary to enable proper lighting that is shown on the drawings. Lighting has been abated to due ACM. You will need to provide Construction lighting. 6. Wall Tile Shall be: STAINMASTER Bella Bianco, Picasso Grey 12-in x 24-in Matte Porcelain Marble look large format Floor and Wall Tile or approved alternate. 7. Floor Tile Shall Be: Affinity Tile Metro 2" Hex Glossy Light Grey 11-in x 13-in Glossy Porcelain Hexagon Mosaic Floor and Wall Tile or approved alternate. 8. Toilet Flush valves shall be: Sloan 1.6 GPF 111XL Regal 1.6 Flush Valve. 9. Vanity shall be; Design House #597450 73" Cultured Marble Double Vanity Top, Solid White. 10. Lav Faucet shall be: Single hole, Chrome, Solar Powered, Touchless WaterSense lowarc, Chrome faucet. 11. Under Sink ADA Compliant Safety Covers are required. 12. Contractor will also be responsible to patch & paint Celling upon completion. 13. Contractor shall warrantee work for a period of one year from date of payment for job. Warrantee shall be for parts and labor. 14. Work shall conform to all applicable codes, be done according to manufacturer’s instructions, and follow industry best practices. This Project Will Upgrade Two (2) Existing Non-compliant Bathrooms to Meet Ada Requirements. Renovations to Rooms 2a16 and 2a17 Will Also Include New Finishes, Supplying New Plumbing Fixtures, Electrical Recepticals, Lighting Etc. Reference Design Drawings Within for Additional Information.
