OPWDD's Broome DDSO intends to procure a Control Replacement on Emergency Generator (per the attached scope of work) pursuant to its discretionary purchasing authority. To be considered for this project, all quotes must be submitted on the Official Bid From provided and include a materials and labor cost break down. Reminders:This is a Public Works Project and Prevailing Wages MUST be paid. Vendors/sub-contractors must be registered with NYS DOL in order to submit a quote. A copy of the certificate must be sent to us with your quote (see guidelines in the documents tab). Any questions or request for clarification regarding the information provided may be directed to brm.bids@opwdd.ny.gov. Contract Term: 60 days of Award Broome DDSO campus is seeking bids to upgrade the emergency generator controller board. The successful bidder must be authorized to work on Caterpillar Generators and shall provide all labor and materials necessary to complete the work in a professional manner according to the scope of work and architectural drawings if supplied. General requirements, and site rules listed below. This is a NYS Public Works project, and prevailing wages are to be paid. Upon completion of work, before removal of equipment and scaffolding, contractor is to schedule a quality control and quality assurance inspection with the maintenance supervisor. SCOPE OF WORK includes, but is not limited to the following: 1. Contractor shall warrantee work for a period of one year from date of payment for job. Warrantee shall be for parts and labor. 2. Work shall conform to all applicable codes, be done according to manufacture's instructions., and follow industry best practices. 3. Lock out/ Tagout all energized and hydronic sources 4. Disconnect and remove all existing controls from existing Emergency generator. 5. Provide and install new Caterpillar EMCP 4.2b control panel for generator 6. Technician to program new controller, add floats, and necessary wiring to control fuel transfer pumps. Owner will provide conduit and/or more control wires between transfer pump panel and generator. 7. Provide system testing required to achieve proper sequence of operation. 8. Furnish as-built documentation to owner. 9. Complete system start up and owner training. 10. If a backup generator is necessary while this work is being done, vendor will provide and install a rental genset on a separate quote.
