The School Board of Polk County invites qualified vendors with current licenses in the State of Florida to register for the District's Pre-Qualification Vendor Program. This Program applies only to price-based solicitations (Invitations to Bid (ITB)) or formal quotes for alterations, renovations, modifications, repairs and minor, new construction projects with an estimated budget less than $4,000,000. This process does not apply to Requests for Proposals (RFPs) for Architectural/Engineering Services, Construction Manager at Risk Services or projects covered under the Consultants Competitive Negotiation Act (CCNA) (F.S. 287.055). Bids awarded by the District or released by the District prior to the award of this request shall proceed for the term of the bid. The Pre-Qualification Vendor Program is an ongoing program of the School District. Once a firm has been qualified and approved by the District, it may participate and compete with other qualified vendors in Invitations to Bid for a three year period commencing January 1, 2026 December 31, 2028. The sign-in sheet must be signed by a firm after which time the sign-in sheet will not be available. Firms that submit the application but whose signature is not on the mandatory Pre-Submittal Conference sign-in sheet will not be given consideration and the application will be returned. Application forms will be distributed at the Mandatory Pre-Submittal Conference. Completed applications shall be hand delivered or sent via US Mail/Fed-Ex/UPS to the address above. Your application will include the Statement of Qualification packet consisting of the application form and attached documents as outlined in the Request of Qualifications packet. All Applications/Statements of Qualification will be reviewed by a Committee comprised of District employees duly assigned to evaluate and recommend those applications from Contractors to certify and pre-qualify them to bid or propose on future projects which may be approved during the Certification Period. Pre-Qualification period will be for a three (3) year period (2026 2028). Polk County Public Schools reserves the right to amend the PQV process as circumstances require.
