Sealed or electronic bids will be received for the Local System Bridge Program (LSBP) Project No. LSBP-30(18) Constitution Road Bridge by the Board of Supervisors of Jackson County, Mississippi. The winner will be the lowest qualified bidder based on published quantities. The contract time for this project is 150 working days. The project shall be constructed according to the latest edition of the Mississippi Standard Specifications for State Aid Road and Bridge Construction. The scope of work includes, but is not limited to: mobilization, clearing and grubbing, removal of obstructions and bridge, removal of asphalt and concrete, unclassified excavation, borrow and excess excavation, geogrid, crushed stone, 18" corrugated polyethylene pipe, guard rails, various marker installations, maintenance of traffic, construction signs, traffic markers, slope treatment, application of topsoil, limestone, fertilizer, ammonium nitrate, seeding, mulching, sodding, silt fencing, wattles, test piles, pile load test, prestressed concrete piling, pile holes, bridge concrete, reinforcement, installation of precast concrete slab units and barriers, concrete cap units, concrete wings, loose riprap, and geotextile under riprap. Detailed quantities for each item are specified. Plans and specifications are available in designated offices. Each proposal must include a certified check or bid bond for five percent (5%) of the total bid. Proposals must not be accompanied by qualifying letters, or they will be rejected. Electronic bids must be in PDF format and secured with a bid bond. Bids can be submitted in a sealed envelope or electronically as detailed in the instructions. A certificate of responsibility number must be included with the bid.
