Renovation of a military facility in Kearneysville, West Virginia. Conceptual plans call for the renovation of a military facility.
The project involves construction services for the replacement of approximately 200,000 square feet of inverted roofing across four buildings at the IRS Enterprise Computing Center (ECC). The scope includes demolition down to the structural deck and installation of a new inverted roof system using either hot-applied rubberized asphalt (HRA) or cold-fluid applied roofing products. Additional work includes installation and upgrades to fall protection systems, accessibility structures, lightning protection, and drainage systems throughout the roof area. The contractor must coordinate all trade and subcontractor work in compliance with applicable government guidelines. The contract will follow a Design-Bid-Build delivery method and be awarded as a firm fixed price stand-alone contract. Specifications and drawings are being developed by an Architect/Engineer, with a Construction Manager-as-Agent (CMa) assisting in project oversight to ensure scope, schedule, budget, and quality goals are met.
