Demolition, site work, renovation and addition to a service station / car wash facility in Rio Rancho, New Mexico. Completed plans call for the addition of a service station / car wash facility; for the demolition of a service station / car wash facility; for the renovation of a service station / car wash facility; and for site work for a service station / car wash facility.
The work includes construct an addition to the existing Rio Rancho Field Maintenance Shop (FMS). The primary addition will include two service bays and associated storage, work, and admin space. The project also includes two standalone buildings: a detached enclosed wash bay; and a detached storage building containing space for unheated storage, bulk Petroleum Oils and Lubricants (POL) storage, controlled waste storage, and Flammable Materials storage. As part of the project, related site work will be completed, including limited rerouting of an existing site access road and expansion of military equipment parking. Some elements of the existing FMS will be upgraded to improve their utility, to include enlarging two existing restrooms and upgrading storage space into a classroom. The project documents include two Additive Bid Items (ABI): 1) construction of the wash bay with associated site work, and 2) expansion of the Military Equipment Parking (MEP) area. and incidental related work.
