TIMELINE: Request for Quote is underway for Consultant to provide electrical engineering services to facilitate BGIS with BC Hydro's Voltage conversion project requirements (25KV primary voltage or/dual rated) at New Federal building. Scope shall include site investigation, evaluation of existing service entrance equipment along with a tender ready design that shall include but not limited to: 1. Site review of the existing unit-sub to determine existing size, ratings, ampacity, voltage, grounding, protection, and coordination settings for the main breaker with BCH's upstream devices. 2. Consultant to evaluate code compliance issues, condition hazards, existing primary feeders, grounding, existing power system studies etc. 3. Coordinate with BGIS and property owners as required. 4. Conduct assessment of the customer or hydro owned main service entrance equipment to ensure it meets all requirements for a new 25KV primary supply voltage and increased fault level, ground potential rise (GPR), step and touch voltage requirements per CEC Part I section 36, as well as service requirements from the BC Hydro's Primary Guide. 5. Prepare technical report summarizing all the findings, modifications, or rectifications of the findings along with cost estimates for such tasks. 6. Consultant to Include any design drawings, instruction to contractors, specifications of modified systems, updated P&C settings, updated system studies (if any), required to upgrade the service entrance/vault to ensure compatibility with 25kV primary supply voltage as part of the consultant's professional oversight in order to bring this scope to substantial completion and handover.
