The purpose of this solicitation is to obtain competitive bids for the supply and delivery of Sodium Hypochlorite solution (15% concentration) for use in wastewater treatment operations. The successful contractor will provide product that meets all applicable ANSI/AWWA B300 standards and regulatory requirements, with deliveries made in bulk or approved containers as specified. The contract will require: Consistent, reliable supply throughout the contract term. Compliance with all federal, state, and local safety, transport, and handling regulations. Submission of Safety Data Sheets (SDS) with each delivery. Thomas, Iv, Cpm, Mas, Qpa, Procurement and Contracts Manager via online All bids must be accompanied by a certified check or bid bond in the amount of 10% of the total bid, not to exceed $20,000.00 All bidders must meet equal opportunity requirements of P.L. N.J.S.A. 10:5-31 et seq. and N.J.A.C. 17:27, as described in the specifications. Bidders are responsible for affirmative action compliance. This contract shall be a firm fixed price contract. In case of default by the bidder, ACUA may procure the commodities or services from other sources and may deduct from any monies due, or that may thereafter become due to the bidder, the difference between the price named in the contract or purchase order and actual thereof to ACUA. Prices paid by ACUA shall be considered the prevailing market price at the time such purchase is made. The term of this Agreement shall begin January 1, 2026, thru December 31, 2026, and may be renewed for one (1) optional one (1) year term provided the extension is agreed to by ACUA and the Contractor. 2.2. Description Sodium hypochlorite 15% minimum strength as available, chlorine also equivalent to 1.5 lbs of chlorine per gallon. Certificates of quality assurance testing must be submitted quarterly. The ACUA reserves the right to request spot testing if quality is in question. 2.3. Quantities Required It is anticipated that 200,000 gallons of sodium hypochlorite will be used at the Wastewater Treatment Plant per year. It is anticipated that 180,000 gallons of sodium hypochlorite will be used at the pumping stations per year. The minimum requirement is zero (0). 2.4. Packaging and Shipping Deliveries will be made by bulk tank truck of approximately 5,000 gallons. No container shall be accepted without an adequate identifying label. Delivery of any leaking containers will be refused. Safety Data Sheets for all products should be forwarded to the ACUA Risk Management office and included with each delivery.
