The work consists essentially of lighting the existing multiuse trail, landscaping, irrigation, and additional ADA sidewalk improvements, with all other related items of work required to complete the project as shown and specified in the contract documents. The contractor is responsible for performing all work and furnishing all plant, labor, equipment, and materials required by the specifications and drawings referred to. Work is to be performed in accordance with the “Mississippi State Highway Standard Specifications for Road and Bridge Construction, 2017,” together with all amendments, special provisions, and addenda unless otherwise noted. Each bid must be accompanied by a cashier’s check, certified check on a solvent bank, or a bidder’s bond issued by a surety company licensed in Mississippi, in the amount of five percent (5%) of the total bid price, payable to the City of Crystal Springs as bid security. The successful bidder will be required to furnish a performance bond and a payment bond each in the amount of one hundred percent (100%) of the contract amount. The City of Crystal Springs notifies all bidders that in any contract entered pursuant to this advertisement, disadvantaged and women’s business enterprises will be afforded full opportunity to submit bids and will not be discriminated against on the grounds of race, color, sex, age, disability, religion, or national origin. The award of the contract is contingent upon the contractor satisfying the DBE requirements.
