The City invites proposal submittals from qualified firms to provide all labor, equipment, materials in connection with the various inspection services for the Don Burnett Bicycle-Pedestrian Bridge. The Don Burnett Bicycle-Pedestrian Bridge (formerly Mary Avenue Bicycle Footbridge), spans over Interstate 280 as well as the Santa Clara Valley Water District channel from Cupertino to Sunnyvale. The bridge which was completed in 2008 is mainly used by bicyclists and pedestrians. It is the only cable-stayed pedestrian bridge over a highway in California. The City is seeking to secure a firm that has the experience, qualifications, expertise and resources to perform the services identified in this Request for Proposal (RFP). The method of Contractor Selection has not been Determined at this time.
