Site work and new construction of an educational facility in Covington, Kentucky. Working plans call for the construction of a 153,000-square-foot, seven-story above grade educational facility.

The Northern Kentucky Port Authority is seeking Statements of Qualifications from qualified design-build teams for the design and construction of a new higher education project to house the Northern Kentucky University Chase College of Law and the University of Kentucky College of Medicine Northern Kentucky Campus in Covington, KY. Interested parties should contact Christine Russell to receive further information. Total funding for the project is $125,000,000. The amount of funding that will be available for the design builder to perform all services including professional services, design, construction, and FF&E is approximately $110,000,000. The selected DB team will be responsible for providing comprehensive design, engineering and construction services, including but not limited to: o Refinement and implementation of the criteria package into detailed design documents o Civil engineering, including site grading and drainage. o Landscape architecture. o Structural, mechanical, plumbing, & electrical engineering. o Roadway and parking design. o Infrastructure utility design to include electrical, gas, sanitary, water, and stormwater. o Site lighting design. o Cost estimating and value engineering. o Coordination with regulatory agencies for permitting and approvals, to include all utility providers. o Full construction services including construction administration and construction oversight. o All furniture, fixtures, and equipment (FF&E), including audio/video (AV) equipment. o The team must demonstrate the ability to collaborate with Kenton County, NKY Port, HDR, NKU, UK and stakeholders to deliver a project that meets community needs, adheres to budget constraints, and aligns with the vision and program established in the criteria documents. o Coordinate, manage, and administer the services provided and ensure that any subconsultants' services are managed appropriately.
