This project will elevate US Route 6 from Roa Hook Road to the Camp Smith entrance including the bridge structure carrying US Route 6 over Putnam Creek in the Town of Cortlandt, Westchester County. NYSDOT Region: 08 Hudson Valley The current status of the project is In Development. The Bid Opening is expected to be in Fall 2026. Construction is expected to begin in Winter 2026/2027. Construction is expected to be completed in Winter 2028/2029. As of October 14, 2025, the project is in Conceptual status. Anticipated letting Year is 2026. NYDOT : US Route 6 at Camp Smith: Flood Mitigation: Town of Cortlandt *Project information has been obtained through a public state transportation improvement plan (STIP). A STIP is a financial schedule for short- and long-range projects which is updated regularly. Information listed in the STIP often evolves based on funding availability.
