Site work for a water / sewer project in New Orleans, Louisiana. Completed plans call for site work for a one-story above grade water / sewer project.
Three existing deep well anode system ground beds are depleted and need to be replaced. All rectifiers located at the sites are rated 20VDC/20ADC. The existing shunt boxes carry 8 shunt resistors. Most rectifier testing was not done with instant off testing. Galvanized anodes at the fuel tank locations require more current to protect the systems. A new test point is needed for the 36-inch water main because the impressed current system is a distance from the actual steel structure, making it difficult to determine if the system is protected at the current rectifier setting. A replacement of the rectifier enclosure is required due to the rectifier enclosure not being the size of the rectifier and corrosion to surrounding piping leading to the rectifier box that needs replacement. The 54-inch Sewer Force Main is estimated to be 1.5 miles in length between Drainage Station 3 and Sewer Station D, with the rectifier located 5,000 feet from Sewer Station D. The Sewer Force Main connects to a 48-inch Cast Iron Pipe at Drainage Station 3. Any questions pertaining this request for quotation need to be sent in via email to bids@swbno.org.
