A. Barton Malow Builders requests Bid Proposals on behalf of Owner for the construction of BP7 Violet Elementary Addition and District Wide Athletic Fields - Lake Shore Public Schools for Bid Package # 7 work. Proposals shall be based on the requirements set forth in the Barton Malow Builders project manual dated 10/14/2025 and construction bidding documents prepared by Partners in Architecture project drawings and specifications dated 10/02/2025 for: 1. Bid Category: Mechanical 14. Bid Category: Electrical 15. Bid Category: Synthetic Turf Systems 16. Bid Category: Sitework 17. Bid Category: Athletic Surfacing 18. Bid Category: Fencing and Gates F. Accepted Bidders will be required, as a condition precedent to award of Contract, to furnish, satisfactory Performance Bond and Payment Bond and Certificates of Insurance as required in the Project Manual G. Project is subject to state sales and/or use taxes and Bidder is required to include such taxes in its Bid Proposal. H. Project is subject to prevailing wage rates. I. Barton Malow Builders has been contracted by the Owner in the capacity of Construction Manager for the Project, and shall act as representative of the Owner to the extent required/allowed under its Owner contract. M. Bidders may be required to be pre-qualified to the requirements described in Document 002113 Instructions to Bidders for this bid package by Barton Malow Builders before document distribution or receipt of bids per the Instructions to Bidders. Barton Malow Builders reserve the right to request qualification forms or additional information from any Bidder before issuing Bidding Documents, receiving Bid Proposals or awarding the Agreement. N. Bid Proposals shall be on forms furnished by Barton Malow Builders via Building Connected. Bidders shall not withdraw or revoke Bid Proposals for a period of 90 Days after date for receipt of Bid Proposals. O. Bidders will be required to submit with their Bid Proposals a Bid Security, in the amount of 5% of base bid, by a qualified surety authorized to do business in the state where the Project is located. P. The successful Bidder(s) will be required to enter into an agreement with Lake Shore Public Schools on the Agreement Form identified in the Project Manual and maintain its prequalification status with Barton Malow until the work is completed. Q. Bidders with an Experience Modification Rate (EMR) greater than 1.0 may not be considered for contract award. R. The successful bidder will be required to enter into a contract with Lake Shore Public Schools on the AIA Document A132-2019 Standard Form of Agreement between Owner and Contractor, Construction Manager as Advisor Edition. S. Your offer will be required to be submitted under a condition of irrevocability for a period of 30 days after submission. T. Late or incomplete bids will not be accepted. U. The Owner reserves the right to accept or reject any or all offers.
