Renovation of a water / sewer project in San Jose, California. Completed plans call for the renovation of a one-story above grade water / sewer project.
The City has determined that the following Contractors met the minimum requirements as set forth in the Request for Pre-Qualification and are pre-qualified to bid the Project: - Blocka Construction, Inc. - CWS Construction Group, Inc. - Swinerton Builders The Project involves the removal and replacement of HVAC equipment for the following eight buildings at the San Jose-Santa Clara Regional Wastewater Facility, 700 Los Esteros Rd., San Jose, CA 95134: Building 2A - Pump and Engine Building, Building 10 - Administration Building, Building 11 - Filtration Influent Pump Station, Building 11A - Disinfection and Cl2/SO2 Building, Building 19 - Digester Gas Compressor Building, Building 21 - Paint Shop, Building 28 - Machine Shop, Building 32 - Warehouse. General Contractors who intend to submit a bid must fully complete the Prequalification Submittal and be approved by the City to be on the final pre-qualified bidders list. No bid will be accepted from a General Contractor that has failed to comply. Each entity within a Joint Venture must be separately qualified. The procurement is registered on Biddingo (www.biddingo.com/sanjose) under the listed commodity code classifications. Submittals must be made electronically using Biddingo and only properly completed Pre-qualification Submittals submitted prior to the deadline will be considered. The Project is subject to the Project Labor Agreement between the City and Santa Clara and San Benito Counties Building & Construction Trades Council, and contractors must sign an Agreement to be Bound to the PLA and comply with its terms. Contractors must also comply with the City's Wage Theft Prevention Policy, and any contractor in violation will be disqualified. The Project is subject to California Air Resources Board In-Use Off-Road Diesel-Fueled Fleets requirements, and contractors will be required to submit valid Certificates of Reported Compliance for themselves and any designated subcontractors using subject fleets during contract performance. Instructions to bidders: Submissions MUST be made electronically through Biddingo. Attaching documentation to the bid does not complete the submission--you must click the SUBMIT button and verify receipt. Contractors can modify submittals appropriately, but must resubmit before the deadline. The City will not consider late or improperly delivered Pre-qualification Submittals. Each pre-qualified Contractor will be listed via a Notice of Determination. The City is not responsible for late or incomplete submissions due to technical issues. Contractors should allow sufficient time to seek assistance from Biddingo if needed. Pre-qualification requirements: General Contractors must fully complete the Prequalification Submittal and be approved by the City. Each party in a Joint Venture must be separately qualified. Contractors must agree to the Project Labor Agreement, comply with the Wage Theft Prevention Policy, and meet California Air Resources Board regulations for off-road diesel vehicles. The preliminary construction estimate for the Project is $8 million. Value Range $730,001-$100,000,000+ *The value for this project is based on a financial range.
