Reference Number 0000401378 Bid Intent Not Available A. The Project is located at Evergreen Lake, in Evergreen, CO. B. The Work includes the following: 1. Diverting Bear Creek and dewatering the work area in accordance with applicable permit requirements. 2. Lockout/tagout of the upstream outlet works gate and accessing the downstream outlet works vault. 3. Excavating the existing channel bottom downstream of the outlet works to expose the existing concrete outfall. 4. Draining and demolishing existing steel pipe, valves, and fittings inside the outlet works vault. 5. Furnishing and installing and grouting HDPE slipline pipe through the existing 42-inch outlet works pipe, with full reservoir and upstream control gate closed and locked out. 6. Furnishing and installing steel piping and fittings; installing owner procured valves, actuators and flow meter within the outlet works vault, as shown on drawings; connecting outlet works piping to HDPE sliplined pipe. OWNER will separately contract completing electrical and SCADA connections for valves and instrumentation. 7. Constructing and affixing concrete structures and associated components including concrete roof and access hatch, and downstream impact basin. 8. Completing all other work shown in the Drawings. 9. Reclaiming areas disturbed by construction activities. A. Phase 1 of the Work shall be substantially complete by December 1, 2026 unless otherwise agreed to by Evergreen Metro District. B. Final Phase 1 project completion shall occur by December 31, 2026. C. Final completion of Phase 1 and 2 shall occur by July 30, 2027. Hard copy bids may be submitted in a sealed envelope, addressed to the Evergreen Metro District, plainly marked to indicate the Project title, and the name, address and point of contact of the Bidder. Hard copy bids shall also include a pdf file submitted on removable media. Hand carried bids shall be delivered at the address listed above. Emailed bids shall be sent to krosemeyer@evergreenmetro.org. Oral statements may not be relied upon and will not be binding or legally effective. A site visit will be conducted after the pre-bid conference. The Evergreen Metro District, acting through its duly authorized representatives, shall have the right to reject any and all bids, to waive any informality or irregularities contained in any bids and to make awards as it may best serve the interest of the OWNER. Question Deadline 11/07/2025 All questions about the meaning or intent of the Bidding Documents are to be submitted to ENGINEER in writing. Interpretations or clarifications considered necessary by ENGINEER in response to such questions will be issued by Addenda mailed or delivered to all parties recorded by ENGINEER as having received the Bidding Documents. Questions received less than ten days prior to the date for opening of Bids may not be answered. Only questions answered by Addenda will be binding. The Work to be performed in strict accordance with all of the Contract Documents consists of the following: 1) Mobilization and demobilization including permitting, traffic control, staging areas, set up, tear down, final clean up, refuse disposal, equipment transportation, and final closeout checklist and all incidentals not covered elsewhere. 2) Providing all site work, labor, temporary facilities and utilities, temporary water control measures, and equipment to complete the excavation, demolition, and outlet works modifications, as shown on the plans and described in these specifications. Temporary facilities and utilities to include construction power via generators, potable drinking water, onsite secured storage and/or job trailer, and related labor, equipment, materials, and incidentals. 3) Diverting Bear Creek and dewatering the work area in accordance with applicable permit requirements, including constructing temporary cofferdams to control water from entering the work areas. 4) Lockout/tagout of the upstream outlet works gate and accessing the downstream outlet works vault. 5) Excavating the existing streambed downstream of the outlet works to expose the existing concrete outfall. 6) Draining and demolishing existing steel, ductile, and cast iron pipe, valves, and fittings inside the outlet works vault as shown in the Drawings. 7) Installing HDPE slipline pipe and grouting anulus through the existing 42-inch outlet works pipe, with full reservoir and upstream control gate closed and locked out. 8) Installing replacement steel piping, control valves, valve actuators, flow meter, and fittings within the outlet works vault, as shown on drawings; connecting outlet works piping to HDPE sliplined pipe. 9) Completing electrical and SCADA connections for valves and instrumentation (OWNER WILL CONTRACT SEPARATELY). 10) Constructing and affixing concrete structures and associated components including precast concrete roof and access hatch. 11) Constructing and affixing the downstream impact basin and trash rack (Phase 2 as required by the OWNER). 12) Reclaiming areas disturbed by construction activities.
